Its things to Give up

15 things to "Give up..."

This is indeed a brilliant article and needs to be read again and again ...
Here is a list of 15 things, which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and you'll feel much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering and instead of letting them all go and allowing ourselves to be stress-free and happy, we cling on to them.
Well, not anymore. Starting today, we will give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go!
1. Give up your need to always be right.
There are so many of us who can't stand the idea of being wrong wanting to always be right even at the risk of ending great relationships or causing a great deal of stress and pain for us and for others. It's just not worth it. Whenever you feel the 'urgent' need to jump into a fight over who is right and who is wrong, ask yourself this question from Dr. Wayne Dyer: 'Would I rather be right, or would I rather be kind?' What difference will that make? Is your ego really that big?
2. Give up your need for control.
Be willing to give up your need to always control everything that happens to you and around you situations, events, people, etc. Whether they are loved ones, co-workers, or just strangers you meet on the street just allow them to be. Allow everything and everyone to be just as they are and you will see how much better will that make you feel.
'By letting it go, it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond winning.' Lao Tzu
3. Give up on blame.
Give up on your need to blame others for what you have or don't have, for what you feel or don't feel. Stop giving your powers away and start taking responsibility for your life.
4. Give up your self-defeating self-talk.
Oh my. How many people are hurting themselves because of their negative, polluted and repetitive self-defeating mindset? Don't believe everything that your mind is telling you especially if it's negative and self-defeating. You are better than that.
'The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive.' Eckhart Tolle
5. Give up your limiting beliefs about what you can or cannot do, about what is possible or impossible.
From now on, you are no longer going to allow your limiting beliefs to keep you stuck in the wrong place. Spread your wings and fly!
'A belief is not an idea held by the mind, it is an idea that holds the mind.' Elly Roselle

6. Give up complaining.
Give up your constant need to complain about those many, many, maaany things people, situations and events that make you unhappy, sad and depressed. Nobody can make you unhappy, no situation can make you sad or miserable unless you allow it to. It's not the situation that triggers those feelings in you, but how you choose to look at it. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.
7. Give up the luxury of criticism.
Give up your need to criticize things, events or people that are different than you. We are all different, yet we are all the same. We all want to be happy, we all want to love and be loved and we all want to be understood. We all want something, and something is wished by us all.
8. Give up your need to impress others.
Stop trying so hard to be something that you're not just to make others like you. It doesn't work this way. The moment you stop trying so hard to be something that you're not, the moment you take of all your masks, the moment you accept and embrace the real you, you will find people will be drawn to you, effortlessly.
9. Give up your resistance to change.
Change is good. Change will help you move from A to B. Change will help you make improvements in your life and also the lives of those around you. Follow your bliss, embrace change don't resist it.
'Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.' Joseph Campbell
10. Give up labels.
Stop labeling the things, people or events that you don't understand as being weird or different and try opening your mind, little by little. Minds only work when open. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.'
11. Give up on your fears.
Fear is just an illusion, it doesn't exist you created it. It's all in your mind. Correct the inside and the outside will fall into place.
'The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.' Franklin D. Roosevelt
12. Give up your excuses.
A lot of times we limit ourselves because of the many excuses we use. Instead of growing and working on improving ourselves and our lives, we get stuck and lie to ourselves, using all kind of excuses excuses that 99.9% of the time, are not even real.
13. Give up the past.
I know, I know. This one's hard. Especially when the past looks so much better than the present and the future looks so frightening. But, you have to take into consideration the fact that the present moment is all you have and all you will ever have. The past you are now longing for the past that you are now dreaming about was ignored by you when it was present. Stop deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and enjoy life. After all, life is a journey not a destination. Have a clear vision for the future, prepare yourself, but always be present in the now.
14. Give up attachment.
This is a concept that, for most of us, is so hard to grasp and I have to tell you that it was for me too (it still is), but it's not impossible. You get better and better at it with time and practice. The moment you detach yourself from all things (and that doesn't mean you give up your love for them because love and attachment have nothing to do with one another. Attachment comes from a place of fear, while love well, real love is pure, kind, and selfless; where there is love there can't be fear, and because of that, attachment and love cannot co-exist) you become so peaceful, so tolerant, so kind, and so serene. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand all things without even trying. A state beyond words.
15. Give up living your life to other people's expectations.
Way too many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live their lives according to what others think is best for them; they live their lives according to what their parents think is best for them; to what their friends, their enemies and their teachers, their government and the media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice, that inner calling. They are so busy with pleasing everybody, with living up to other people's expectations, that they lose control over their lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what they need and eventually, they forget about themselves. You have one life this one right now you must live it, own it, and especially don't let other people's opinions distract you from your path.

Mind Body Soul

Tap into your elements
The human body is also made up of the five basic elements. So vata constitution types have an axcess of the air element, pitta type have more of the fire elements and the water element is on the higher side in the kapha body type.
Our food, too, has elements of the cosmos within it. So we have foods that have higher element of vata such as beans, channa, rajma, cabbage, and brccolli. Foods with higher elements of pitta in clued spices {all garam masala} and meat products and foods which have a higher element of kapha include wheat and banana.
Several of the seasons and pave the
Grains of Wisdom
For summer switch to eating lighter grains like rice, satua, and barely.

The Logic Of Fresh
Another aspect of your diet that needs to be addressed with the change of seasons is the freshness of food. Fresh food is light and easily digestible is this seasons our digestive capacity reduce as compared one can eat careals {rice, barley, oats} fruits, salad, vegetables and chutneys.
This is the seasons to start preparing chutneys as they can be made fresh every day and enjoyed with most meals. Traditionally, chutneys contain several ingredients that are high in digestive properties

The needs of your palate should also keep pace with the change of seasons. In the cold and humid winter, the taste to hanker for is astringent {salad}. In the summer it is bitter, in the rainy seasons sour, in the autumn salty and in the beginning of winter {during Diwali and New Year} it is sweet.

Always Mind Your Manners

Always Mind Your Manners
Turn up on time say sorry if you’re late and a please or thank you wouldn’t go amiss…

These days whenever I go hear people bemoaning the demise of good manners. Just of the top of my head, these are some of the biggest bugbears: those who conduct long conversations on their mobiles while ignoring everyone else at the dinner table: those who let their kids riot in public places without any attempt to discipline them: those who never bother say thank {you never mind writing a thank you note} for a birthday present or a dinner party those who arrive late as a matter of course and never ever bother to apologies for their tardiness.

As you can see, the list is long and exhaustive. But what is most worrying is that seems about boorish and offensive to some is seen as perfectly acceptable behavior in someone else’s book. Most of the serial offenders, when confronted with evidence of their bad manners confess that they had no idea that they were, in fact, offending anyone. {arre. What’s a 15 -20 minute delay between friends, was the most common response}

So when is comes right down to it, what are good manners? And is there a bare minimum that we can all agree on in an effort to keep the wheels of social discourse running smoothly?

Well, first off, good manners dictate that you don’t make people around you feel ill at ease, gauche, awkward or plain ignorant. It is perhaps best illustrated by the famous and possibly apocryphal story of Queen Victoria the Shah of Perisa, depending on which book you believe at royal banquet. When the fingers blows were laid out at the end meal, for the dinners to wash their fingers in rose water, the visiting potentate picked up the bowl and started drinking from it. Completely unperturbed, the Queen followed his lead, gesturing to the other entire guest to follow suit, so that he wasn’t embarrassed about having done the wrong think.

Know Your Value

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note. In the room of 200,
He asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the note up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty.

"Now who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money.

You still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen.

Never lose your value.

You are special. Don't ever forget it! Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

Obama's Health Care Plan

Virtually every professional discipline within the American Medical Association's membership has decided to weigh in on the new health care plan being developed by President Obama's team, with varying thoughts and recommendations.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.

Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

Surgeons decided to totally wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, but the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anesthesiologists thought the idea was a gas, while the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say "No!"

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the a$$holes in Washington!

Top Ways To Relax

Tips to help you de-stress and unwind

With many of us trying desperately to perfect the balance of work, family

and social lives, it can seem as though there is little time to relax.

However, taking time to de-stress and relax your body and mind is

integral to maintaining optimal health. Fortunately, there are many

ways to make relaxation a part of your everyday life.

Here are the top 10 ways to relax.

Get active

If you are feeling stressed out, one of the

best things you can do is go for a run or hit the gym. Although you may feel more inclined to

veg out in front of the TV to relax, exercise is great forreleasing

mood-boosting chemicalsendorphins

and anandamine, which can help to lower

anxiety and increase mental wellbeing.

As well as having a great effect on your mood and stress levels,

exercise is also good for taking your mind off problems and helping to

induce sleep.

Practise deep breathing

If you are short on time, one of the quickest

ways to relax is to take a few deep breaths.

Anxiety can cause people to breathe more rapidly than normal and taking

deep, slow breaths can be an effective aid to relaxation. If you are

frequently feeling anxious or stressed, it can be helpful to implement

deep breathing in to your regular routine by practising

breathing exercises regularly or joining a yoga,

Pilates or meditation class; all of which

use deep breathing to promote relaxation and wellbeing.

Listen to music

Many of us are aware that listening to our

favourite music puts us in a good mood, and studies have now found that music is also

good for reducing stress.

Various studies have indicated a strong link between music and lowered

stress levels in everyday life, while research has also indicated that

music can lower extreme levels of stress in people undergoing surgery,

critically ill patients and pregnant women.

Rather than seeking out "relaxing" genres of music, it is best to go

with your individual taste and choose whatever type

of music boosts your mood.

Stock up on chocolate

Good news for many is that chocolate - one of

the world's most popular comfort foods - is also a great calming food.

Chocolate is high in magnesium - which can help

relaxation - and also contains anandamine, a

neurotransmitter which can help you to experience a feeling of peace.

With high levels of phenylethylamine, chocolate also

raises endorphin levels, so all the more reason to

unwind with your favourite chocolate treat.

Have a hug

Having a hug is a renowned mood booster, and

research findings published in Psychomatic Medicine have reinforced what we

knew all along - that having a good old cuddle is great for

reducing stress. Having physical contact has been found to

raise levels of oxytocin - the "love hormone"

- and lower levels of stress hormone cortisol, putting us in a more

relaxed frame of mind. Human affection is not the only type that

counts, however, as owning a pet has also been linked

to lowered stress levels, meaning that playing with your pet could be a

great way to wind down after work.

Pamper yourself

One of the best - and most luxurious - ways to

unwind is to treat yourself to a spot of pampering. If your budget extends to it, you

could have somebody else pamper you by heading to a health spa

or beauty salon for a massage, facial

or beauty treatment of your choice. Alternatively,

you could indulge in a bit of DIY pampering by

running yourself a bath, lighting some candles and lying back with a

relaxing facemask and some calming music.

Have a laugh

Laughter is well-known for its therapeutic

effects, and many places now offer laughter therapy orlaughter yoga

classes to those seeking to boost their health and mood.

Studies have in fact found that even the anticipation of

laughter can help us to relax

by lifting our spirits and reducing stress levels in the body. If you

are serious about your relaxation, you could consider attending a laughter

class, but chilling out with a funny DVD, book or friend is an

equally great option to help you relax.

Try aromatherapy

To really make the most of your senses, turn

your home into a relaxing sanctuary with a scented candle or some relaxing essential

oils. Some good essential oils for relaxation includecamomile,

lavender, neroli, bergamot and ylang ylang.

Use these oils to aid relaxation by adding a couple of drops to a bath,

burning in an oil burner, or adding (sparingly) to water to use as a

room spray or skin spritzer.

Get in the moment

There are various things you can do to help

you relax. However, if you are not fully present in the moment, it is

unlikely you will fully benefit from any relaxation technique. If you

find it difficult to switch off from your stressespast

regrets or future worries,

try making a list of anything that needs to be done

or thought about at a later date, set a time and date to deal

with each item, then switch off your mind, cast your cares

aside, and focus for now on simply enjoying the moment.

Top Healthy Drinks To Loose Weight

Top 10 Healthy Drinks To Loose Weight

When it comes to weight loss, substituting healthy
drinks for those sugary sodas and energy drinks can have a drastic
effect on your weight loss goals. Most people don't realize how many
calories they take in each day from drinks alone. For instance, a caffe
mocha with all the fixings can pack in over 500 calories! So as you can
see, switching to healthier drinks and ditching the "junk drinks" will
greatly reduce your daily caloric intake and in return start shredding
those unwanted pounds. Check out this list of the top 10 healthy drinks
that can help you reach your weight loss goals...

1. Vegetable Juice

Vegetable juice is every bit as nutritious as fruit juice but with
about half the calories. Most vegetable juices are also rich in fiber
which can help make you feel full and in turn eat less.

2. Fruit Smoothies

Mix-up a delicious batch of smoothies using your favorite fruits and a

little bit of skim milk. Do not consume smoothies with added sugar,
whipped cream, honey, or other sweeteners that can add hundreds of
calories-in other words, don't eat smoothies from your favorite local
restaurant or ice-cream shop and think that you're eating healthy
because you're not!

3.? Fruit Juice

Fruit juices have loads of vitamins and nutrients, but it's important
to make sure that there's no added sugar...sorry Sunny D and Tang! Also
remember that the pulpier, the better. Fruit juice with lots of pulp
contains added fiber that can help you feel more full and eat less.

4.Black Coffee

Coffee has plenty of positive health benefits and best of all, it
contains no calories! Black coffee is rich in antioxidants that can
help boost your mood, improve concentration, reduce the risk of
diabetes and cancer, as well as many other benefits. Keep you coffee
consumption at 4 cups or less per day-as with anything, moderation is
the key.

5.Green Tea

Like coffee, green tea has a plethora of positive health benefits and
contains plenty of helpful antioxidants. It also helps to boost your
metabolism if consumed on a daily basis, which can help to speed up
your body's fat-burning mechanism-as much as a 40% increase in some
cases!

6.? Milk

The calcium in Low-fat or skim milk can help contribute to the
breakdown of fat cells in your body. Too much milk, though, can pack on
the pounds because it does contain a lot of calories, so stick to 3-4
small servings per day in order to benefit from milk's weight loss
benefits.

7.? Protein Drinks

Protein drinks, such as from powders or pre-mixed varieties, can have a
great effect on your weight loss regiment, because lean muscle is very
efficient at burning fat. In other words, the more muscle you have, the
more fat your body will burn. Protein is a big part of this equation,
because it's the building block of muscle growth.

8. Fiber Drinks

There's many fiber-rich drinks on the market today, and they can be a
great tool for any weight loss program. Fiber helps to make your body
feel full, and it also has plenty of other positive health benefits as
well.

9. Apple Cider Vinegar

Sounds a little gross, and it may be too gross for some people to try,
but apple cider vinegar is a sort-of "old school" health drink that was
very popular in the '70s as a weight loss tool. Although there aren't
any scientific studies that actually prove it works, many fitness gurus
swear by it, saying that it greatly boosts your metabolism if taken
regularly...Hey, it's worth a try!

10. Ice Water

Probably the most powerful weight loss tool at your disposal, and also
the cheapest, is plain old ice water (who'd a thunk!). Drinking plenty
of water is great for your body because it helps you feel full, boosts
your metabolism, and it contains zero calories. Furthermore, some
studies suggest that drinking just two extra glasses of ice water per
day can help boost your metabolism by as much as 30%. This equates to
about 5 pounds of fat loss per year!

God One More Chance

It's another morning....  I have to go to office.

WHAT???? This is me!!! I shouted seeing my picture in the newspaper. But what the HELL is it doing in the obituary column??

Strange.

One sec... Let me think, last night when I went to bed I had severe pain in my chest, but I don't remember anything after that, I think I had sound sleep.

Its morning now, oh... It's already 10:00 AM, where is my coffee? I will be late for office and my boss will get a chance to shout at me.

Where is everyone? I screamed.

"I think there is a crowd outside my room, let me check." I said to myself.

So many people... Not all of them are crying. But why are some of them crying.

WHAT IS THIS??? I'm lying there on a bed in the drawing room!!!!

"I AM HERE”. I shouted!!! No one listened.
"LOOK I AM NOT DEAD”. I screamed once again!!! No one was interested in me.
They were all looking at me lying on the bed.

I went back to my bed room.

"Am I dead??"  I asked myself.

Where are my wife, my children, my mom-dad, my friends?

I found them in the next room, all of them were crying. Still trying to console each other.

My wife was crying. She was really looking sad.
My little kid was not sure what happened, but he was crying just coz his mom was sad.

How can I go without telling my kid that I really love him, I really do care for him....??
How can I go without telling my wife that she is really the most beautiful and the most caring wife in this world..??
How can I go without telling my parents that I am what I am just because of them...??
How can I go without telling my friends that without them, perhaps I would have
Done wrong things in life- thanks for being there always
When I needed them. And sorry for not being there when they really needed me..

I can see a person standing in the corner and trying to hide his tears. Oh, he was once my best friend, but a small misunderstanding made us part, and we both never let go off our egos....

I went there.. And offered him my hand, "Dear friend. I just want to say sorry for everything, we are still good friends, please forgive me."

No response from other side, what the hell?? He is still preserving his ego. I am saying sorry, even then!!! I really don't care for such people.

But one sec.. It seems he is not able to see me!!!! He did not see my extended hand.
My goodness.  AM I REALLY DEAD???

I just sat down next to MYSELF; I also felt like crying.

"OH GOD!!!! PLEASE GIVE ME FEW MORE DAYS."
I just want to tell my wife, my parents, my kid and my friends how much I love them.

My wife entered the room, she looks beautiful.
"YOU'R BEAUTIFUL" I shouted.
She didn't hear my words, in fact she has never heard these words from me, coz I have never told her.

"GOD!!!!" I screamed. a little more time plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. I cried.

One more chance please-to hug my child, to make my mom smile.. just once, to make my dad feel proud of me at least for a moment..., to say sorry to my friends for everything I have not told and done for them-inspite of that for still being there for me..

Then I looked up and cried!!!!

I shouted..

"GOD!!!! ONE MORE CHANCE PLEASE!!!!"

"You shouted in your sleep," said my wife as she gently woke me up. "Did you have a nightmare?"

I was sleeping..??!!!
Oh that was just a dream..??!!

My wife was there. She could hear me.
This was the happiest moment in my life!!
I hugged her and whispered.. "U R THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND CARING WIFE IN
THIS UNIVERSE.. I REALLY LOVE U DEAR"

I just couldn’t understand that in spite of a smile on her face she had tears in her eyes...

I was so HAPPY!!!!!

"THANK YOU GOD FOR GIVING ME ANOTHER CHANCE!!!"

It's not late.. Forget your egos, forget all that has happened....., and just express your love to others.... Be friendly..... Keep smiling and be happy for ever. .

Cleaning Out The Memory

Cleaning Out the 'Chit' - the Memory Track

Walking a spiritual path is not always easy but it is utterly satisfying and immensely rewarding. The journey of clearing away the old and the bitter, and moving towards the purest and original part of our core is a beautiful one in which there is a deep fulfillmentof the soul that no material pleasure can satisfy.

Embedded deep within all souls is the memory of each and every thought, feeling, action and experience, which becomes the reason for creating an overall attitude and awareness in the soul. Since we mostly operate on past references and old comfort zones, we therefore create new deeds based on these prior attitudes and awarenesses.

Every time we operate on old patterns of behavior, we are reinforcing them again and again. Thus, if the experience was a negative one, then the recording will be negative. Then the next round of actions will most likely be negative, and so the pattern continues. The adverse is also true of course. Positive thoughts and actions generate more of the same.

In Hinduism the memory track of the soul has been defined as the chit. It can be likened to the chip in a mobile phone that contains the information of all our deeds what instigated or triggered them, the intensity of them, the resulting effect, etc etc.

The chit is in itself neutral, it is simply a container for our thoughts and experiences. It is what we put into the chit that is important because that is what will colour all of our future thoughts, words and actions.
Therefore if the chit is full of bad feelings due to our negative reaction to another persons words or deeds, for example, then the mind will be sent off in that direction and the resulting thoughts will be of spite and vindictiveness. The only way to change this flow of negativity is to interrupt the pattern. Thus it is important to be alert to keep our chit as clean and clear as possible at all times.

We now need to realize the damage that untruth has caused the soul. Every time we lived a lie, fell for an illusion, or supported an act of deceit, we polluted the pure chit.

In our struggles to deal with the old, uncomfortable and painful memories, our only solace was to move away from them. Now we need to face those issues, by doing a U-turn and begin the return journey to the experience our original and pure self.

It is up to us now to decide what it is that we want to record in the soul. We can record the bad or the good. The choice is ours. But know that if you only focus on and hold onto the old painful memories, then that will become your springboard of action. And since you can only playback what you have chosen to record, then pain can only cause further pain.

We need to remember that, if we have made mistakes in the past then that is only because we are not in full awareness of our original and divine beauty. We had forgotten in that moment who we really are originally pure and divine beings, full and abundant, complete with all powers.

Returning to this truth again and again is the only way to create new memories and repair old attitudes. And then, as we begin to operate from this renewed awareness we are able to bring about transformation in our vision and the world.

Its timeto clean out our chit our memory track and to ensure that we only record and retain the positive memories in the soul. The choice is in our hands. Re-recording over the old using truth and divinity will ensure that we experience a deep inner bliss and fulfillment in the soul that no material pleasure can satisfy!

Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorde

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.

As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys on the table,
Put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table,
And notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back
On the table and take out the garbage first...

But then I think,
Since I'm going to be near the mailbox
When I take out the garbage anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table,
And see that there is only one check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study,
So I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Pepsi I'd been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks,
But first I need to push the Pepsi aside
So that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Pepsi is getting warm,
And I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi,
A vase of flowers on the counter
Catches my eye--they need water.

I put the Pepsi on the counter and
Discover my reading glasses that
I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk,
But first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter ,
Fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I'll be looking for the remote,
But I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,
So I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,
But first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers,
But quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back on the table,
Get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then, I head down the hall trying to
Remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:
The car isn't washed,
The bills aren't paid,
There is a warm can of
Pepsi sitting on the counter,
The flowers don't have enough water,
There is still only 1 check in my check book,
I can't find the remote,
I can't find my glasses,
And I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day,
And I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem,
And I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail....

Do me a favor.
Forward this message to everyone you know,
Because I don't remember who I've sent it to.

Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!
P.S. I don't remember who sent it to me, so if it was you, I am sorry

This World is Mine

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman,
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy,
The lad who sold it had such charm,
I talked with him, he seemed so glad,
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word,
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine,
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go,
With eyes to see the sunset's glow,
With ears to hear what I'd know.
With loving family friends to enjoy life
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine,
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

Just forward it to your friends.
After all, it's just a simple reminder that we have so much to be thankful for!
Give the gift of love.
It never comes back empty

Reminds Me a Great Lesson

Yesterday morning while getting ready for office I was brushing my teeth. Without realizing my 3 years old daughter standing right behind me I moved a little backwards resulting my body hit her a little. Because my tooth brush was in my mouth so I couldn't say sorry to her. As Hadia has recently learn't about using Thank-you and Sorry for different situations from her school teacher, she was expecting me to say sorry without understanding the fact that while brushing her father can't do so. She waited for me for a little while to apologize which I did not. So her little heart broke and she started crying. I immediately finished my brushing and kissed her and said sorry to her. Very soon she became normal and forgot what has happened a while ago and we had a great breakfast J

Later I pondered that with friends, family and colleagues we often forget to say sorry for our mistakes which results in stiffen relationship causing brawls or complete break-up. While our loved ones give us time and expect our apologetic response, we forget to say sorry or sometimes even ignore the matter altogether considering it a minor one; whereas, it may be critically important for someone. Hence it is important for us to pay attention to this aspect and consider improving our Emotional Intelligence Skills (Managing ours' as well as others' emotions), enhance Empathic Skills and endeavour to develop trust with our loved ones for healthy relationships.

Legal Jokes for Everyone

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive, double-pane, energy-efficient kind.
Today, I got a call from Home Depot who installed them. He complained that the work had been completed a year ago and I still hadn't paid for them.
Helloooo,............ just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid.
So, I told him just what his fast-talking sales guy told me last year... that these windows would pay for themselves in a year. Hellooooo? It's been a year, so they're paid for, I told him.
There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally hung up. He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot.

A man went to his lawyer and told him, "My neighbour owes me $500 and
he doesn't want to pay up. What should I do?"
"Do you have any proof?", asked the lawyer. "Nope," replied the man.
"Okay, then write him a letter asking him for the $1,000 he owes you,"
said the lawyer.
"But it's only $500!" replied the man.
"Precisely, that's what he will reply and we will have the proof we
need," said the lawyer.

The professor of a Contract Law class asked one of his better
students, "If you were to give someone an orange, how would you go
about it?"

The student replied, "Here's an orange."
The professor was outraged."No! No! Think like a lawyer!"
The student then replied, "Ok. I will tell him - "I hereby give and
convey to you all and singular, my estate and interests, rights,
claim, title and advantages of and in, said orange, together with all
its rind, juice, pulp and seeds, and all rights and advantages with
full power to bite, cut, freeze and otherwise eat, the same, or give
the same away with and without the pulp, juice, rind and seeds,
anything herein before and hereinafter or in any deed, or deeds,
instruments of whatever nature or kind whatsoever to the contrary in
anywise notwithstanding."

A dog ran into a butcher shop and grabbed a roast off the counter.
Fortunately, the butcher recognised the dog as belonging to a
neighbour of his.
The neighbour happened to be a lawyer.
Incensed at the theft, the butcher called up his neighbour and said,
"Hey, if your dog stole a roast from my butcher shop, would you be
liable for the cost of the meat?"
The lawyer replied, "Of course, how much was the roast?" "$7.98."
A few days later the butcher received a cheque in the mail for for
$7.98. Attached to it was an invoice that read : 'Legal Consultation
Service: $150.

The lawyer's son wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, so he
went to law school. He graduated with Honours, and then went home to
join his father's legal firm.

At the end of his first day at work he rushed into his father's
office, and said, "Father, you know what, in one day I managed to
solve the accident case that you've been working on for 10 years!"
His father responded : " You idiot, we lived on the funding of that
case for 10 years!"
